Unilever Storeroom Technician- 12 Hr Days 2/2/3 schedule in Covington, Tennessee

Background & Purpose of the Job: The Unilever Covington factory is a 24/7 high paced dynamic work environment. We achieve goals through collaborative cross functional teams in the safe and quality delivery of finished goods across the shift they are leading. Making brands such as Klondike, Popsicle, Breyers, and Good Humor ice cream.

The Storeroom Technician position supports the entire maintenance team. This position coordinates all activities within the storeroom and controls the $7.5 million in parts inventory. This position is responsible for ensuring completion of all tasks in their assigned area, making sure the supervisor is aware if there are any gaps. The position creates plans to address issues, ensures the correct resources are being applied to each problem and escalates to the supervisor when additional help is needed. 

Location of the job: Covington, TN

Base Pay Rate:   $19.50 per hour

Shift: 12 hour Days , 6am-6: 30 p m , 2/2/3 shift schedule pattern

    What You'll Do

  • Continuously strive to increase the efficiency and reliability of the storeroom 

  • Monitor the consumed parts daily and place orders for replenishment 

  • Monitor order required quantities in Megamation  

  • Reach out to vendors for quotes for parts 

  • Correctly enter parts in Coupa for order, track, receive and put away parts daily 

  • Process and put away return parts 

  • Coordinates and executes cycle counts for parts on a weekly basis 

  • Generates other inventory reports as requested 

  • Work with maintenance planners and vendors to identify alternative sources for parts that allow for any of the following: 

  • Ability to carry lower/zero stock due to immediate availability from other sources 

  • Carries out periodic audits to ensure the work order process is being followed and reports to supervisor 

  • Carries out periodic audits to ensure depth of work order material is adequate and reports to supervisor 

  • Work with the maintenance supervisors and maintenance planners to ensure the correct parts and qty of parts are being stocked for each machine 

  • Contacting vendors and manufacturers as needed for quotes, information and support in resolving issues 

  • Other duties as assigned

    What You'll Need to Succeed

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Fluent with computers (SAP, Megamation , Coupa, Office Suite) 

  • Must be self-motivated 

  • Able to do basic Math and Reading
