The Project Implementation Manager (PIM) will be Responsible for the successful onboarding of all assigned National Account customers. The PIM is the first point of contact for the customer responsible for setting expectations, managing deadlines, and delivering on products the customer has purchased. The PIM must be able to proficiently project manage all aspects of the Account Management Team to ensure accurate and timely set up of all products and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities for timely and accurate implementation of products and services onto Surest/UHC systems

  • Facilitate meetings with both internal and external partners (customers) to identify and document all status updates, requirements, issues, risks and drive execution

  • Review Requests for Proposals, evaluate implementation concerns and notify Sales, the proposal team, leadership and internal partners of non-standard requirements where we may have difficulty administering or where there will be pricing impact

  • Project manage the implementation of new business and complex existing business specific to National Accounts

  • Collaborate with other areas of the organization to present solutions to customers on non-standard or complex products and services

  • Document all decisions made by the customer while maintaining a project plan to keep both internal and external partners on track. Notify all appropriate parties when any item may be at risk

  • Ability to meet established metrics set forth by PIM leadership

  • Participate in finalist meetings to present the details surrounding the implementation process

  • Lead all internal and external meetings for all National Account new business and assigned new business existing accounts, driving the direction of the implementation

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)

  • 3+ years of client facing project management and/or account management experience

  • 3+ years of implementation project management

  • 2+ years of healthcare experience

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with general computer use and Microsoft Office products including word processing, database management and spreadsheet applications

  • Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, internal process and resources (claims, eligibility, accounting, contract, underwriting)

  • Ability to build relationships with mid-market, large, and / or national employers

  • Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks to develop realistic action plans

California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Hawaii or Washington Residents Only : The salary range for California, Colorado, Nevada, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $70,200 to $137,800 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
