YRC Freight Senior Revenue Specialist (Revenue Claims) (Overland Park, Kansas) in Overland Park, Kansas


The Senior Revenue Specialist (Revenue Claims) will audit revenue claims to approve or decline claims. Audit reports for errors and makes necessary corrections and manage assigned specific revenue management process for the Revenue Claims team.


  1. Analyze customer disputes to determine their validity and appropriate dispute resolution actions.

  2. Determine root causes of errors (i.e. pricing problems, billing errors, weight changes) and root cause solutions for customer disputes.

  3. Work with various departments to ensure correct path in fixing errors.

  4. Professionally communicate with customers and other departments to escalate dispute resolution solutions.

  5. Balance efforts with the profitable handling of accounts and the customer’s expectations.

  6. Receive and maintain incoming communication, including correspondence and telephone calls on assigned accounts from terminals customers, and various internal departments.

  7. Provide feedback to management and sales force to assist in the increase of customer satisfaction and retention.

  8. Work with collections and sales teams to inform and increase the knowledge base for customer satisfaction.

  1. Two (2) years of experience in revenue management or related experience.

  2. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  3. Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to identify root cause issues and determine appropriate actions to resolve.

  4. Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  5. Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint).

  6. Transportation industry experience.


  1. Four (4) years of experience in revenue management or related experience.

  2. Knowledge of transportation industry relative to rating, classification, pricing, contracts, and YRCW company operations and procedures.


This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.


The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
