The Opportunity
Williams International is looking for an experienced M&P Technician to join our team on 2nd shift.
The M&P Technician will:
- Work in a materials laboratory using cut-off saws, mounting presses, light microscopes, and image analysis software
- Prepare samples for metallographic analysis by sectioning, mounting, polishing, and etching
- Compare microstructures against standards and approve/reject process control sample
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or Certificate in material science or metallurgy (equivalent experience will be considered)
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a materials laboratory performing metallographic analysis
- U. S. Citizenship status required
- Position requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U. S. - Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum)
