Emerson Inventory Control Analyst in Southaven, Mississippi

If you are an INVENTORY AND DISTRIBUTION professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our SOUTHAVEN, MS location, we are looking for an Inventory Analyst who looks to understand inventory and ensures that the right parts are available. This is a fast-paced position within our Distribution and Manufacturing plant that will report to the Operations Manager.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL:

  • Lead the cycle count process for the manufacturing facility and ensure standard methodologies are shared across the organization.

  • Connect with IT and Finance to coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory, as required.

  • Conduct inventory analysis by facility and value stream for all PH levels in SAP.

  • Work closely with the manufacturing facility to ensure fix bin integrity optimization.

  • Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies with regard to bin integrity and material BOM back flushing.

  • Minimize and correct facility recorded COGI errors through the manufacturing process.

  • Be the process owner for Sarbanes-Oxley process documentation and mapping as it relates to inventory control.

WHO YOU ARE:

You know how to optimize the workflow of parts in and out. You have keen decision-making skills when it comes to planning and aligning, all while managing ambiguity. You are someone who takes action and gets it done.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations; experience of years may be considered in lieu of education

  • Three (3) years of inventory control analysis experience in a fast-paced plant procurement environment

  • Excel experience (VLOOKUP and Pivot Table experience a plus)

  • Proven success in inventory troubleshooting to optimize accuracy

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills are crucial

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations, or related discipline preferred

  • Experience with SAP a plus

  • Experience in warehouse distribution and working with a global supply chain is a plus

  • C.P.M. and/or C.P.I.M. Certifications a plus

Schedule:

This is primarily a first shift position, with overtime as needed, and may include some weekends.
