Google Global Account Executive, Global Client and Agency Solutions in Tokyo, Japan

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in advertising/online media sales or marketing.

  • Experience in digital marketing and with associated products and tools (e.g., Search, YouTube, Google Marketing Platform (GMP), etc.).

  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in project management and making presentations to C-level/executive audiences.

  • Experience in business development and sales leadership.

  • Expertise in Search, Google Marketing Platform (GMP), and/or YouTube.

  • Understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for growth, and commitment to advancing Google's strategies within the marketplace.

  • Strong executive presence, with the ability to effectively grow relationships and deepen partnerships.

Using your relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

In this role, you’ll grow key Japanese global automotive clients. You will set the agenda and leverage your keen business understanding to focus on core areas to drive innovation and impact. You'll work and collaborate closely with an expert distributed team to ensure a strong, seamless, global connection and speed to market. You will serve as the clients' advocate within Google, while collaborating with other teams to provide them with a scaled portfolio of solutions and options. You’ll own and deepen client relationships, and lead global governance and coordination across priority markets.

You'll be responsible for developing and executing the strategy via global and regional joint business plans (JBPs), inclusive of a global video incentive program, and scaling solutions with locally developed JBPs in collaboration with the Large Customer Sales team. You will engage with leaders, participate at events to establish Google as a trusted source, and build relationships.

You will communicate in English and Japanese to interact with clients and teams globally.

  • Use a deep understanding of the client's business, and broad knowledge of advertising and the industry vertical, to identify and enable a mix of next-level competitive short- and longer-term opportunities for one or multiple high-visibility customers.

  • Interact effectively with senior leaders to build trust, gain commitment, and progress difficult conversations, while maintaining strategic focus and executive presence.

  • Lead joint business plan development, account-level strategy, annual activation plans, and develop new and existing customer relationships to facilitate agreements, achieve team goals, and unlock business growth.

  • Collaborate effectively across a globally distributed cross-partner team, enhance connectivity, align business goals, integrate multi-regional strategies, and establish an expert network.

  • Be a thought leader, a "go-to" external and internal expert, with proven knowledge of related Google products and technologies and ability to drive initiatives, share expertise, and create high-quality content.
