Western Aircraft Mobile A&P Mechanic - Eastern Idaho in United States
Job Summary
The Mobile Response Team (MRT) Maintenance Technicians will be based in Eastern Idaho and will require travel . These technicians will be responsible for repair and maintenance service of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools, as needed, to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications.
Schedule rotation is 7 days on 7 days off - Monday through Sunday
Duties & Responsibilities
Performs repair and service on general aviation aircraft
Carries an MRT call phone 24/7/365 on scheduled shift days
Ensures proper care of customer property through all phases of work
Accurately completes required paperwork and work order details in Corridor
Offers technical advice via phone
Travels as required via car, boat, or air to customer location to perform required maintenance
Assists and/or facilitates invoicing and payments for MRT services for those customers without credit terms, and prior to release of aircraft
Coordinate offsite road trips
Qualifications & Job Requirements
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in general business aviation
Owns hand tools to complete work (list will be provided)
Requires extensive travel
Extensive experience with general aviation aircraft and ability to complete projects with no supervision required
Airframe & Powerplant certifications required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and ability to follow directions
Organized and detail oriented
Effective oral and written communication skills
Positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor
Basic sheet metal skills and/or basic electrical capabilities considered a plus
Other Prerequisites
Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to obtain Airport Issued security badge
Valid Driver’s license
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in both inside and outside environments with moderate noise level and varied environmental conditions. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs, work overhead, climbing,
bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, working on ladders and in tight quarters. 90% travel is required for fieldwork.
