Description:

Provide operational support for the WebHosting environment utilized by hundreds of web applications. Troubleshooting real-time break/fix situations as well as assisting developers with any issues that may arise. All of these functions consist of complex hardware and software configurations and interact regularly with other functions across organization.

Operational Support for Microsoft .NET & Web Hosting Environment

• Provide day-to-day developer and client support including analysis, debugging and maintenance for the Infrastructure Hosting environment.

• Complex troubleshooting of real-time business disruptions on multi-layered web applications.

• In depth investigations include several technology layers.

• Provide technical guidance and advice to co-workers and others; is a good technical resource.

• Document processes and procedures of implemented changes.

REQUIREMENTS:

 REQUIRED:

Strong IIS/.NET Applications Web Hosting environment experience.

 Knowledge and Skills (List those items required to obtain or maintain position; e.g., required to maintain current license in Electronics.)

 Has advanced knowledge supporting an Infrastructure Hosting Environment, including Windows, .NET, SharePoint, Sitecore, Siteminder, OAM, Apache reverse proxies and Network Load Balancers.

 Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools for problem detection and resolution knowledge of LAN design and inter-related distributed systems functions as they relate to supporting the infrastructure hosting environment. Wireshark/Tcpdump, Dynatrace and Fiddler as examples.

 Previous Experience (List years and type of experience. Alternatives should be listed if applicable.)

 Experience configuring and troubleshooting .NET applications.

 SiteMinder experience

 7 – 9 years of increasingly responsible professional experience.

• Requires in-depth knowledge of infrastructure hosting technologies; hardware, O/S, and related tools and applications.

• Sitecore v6.5 and later administration is good to have.

• Experience with configuring Reverse Proxies (Apache Preferred)

• Configuration and troubleshooting web application with F5 devices (creating and maintaining VIPs and iRules)

• Automation of tasks using scripting, such as PowerShell or general shell scripting.

• Experience configuring and troubleshooting .NET applications.

• SiteMinder experience

• Nice to have: SAML implementation experience

• Use of Compuware’s Dynatrace application

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Heavy workload, strong ability to deliver under very busy work conditions. They must also be strong communicators. If they are working remote they need to have strong verbal and non verbal communication skills. They also need to be dilligent about communicating status of work etc.
